Norstat now offers a line of category 4 safety light curtains that include models with built in Muting Functions.
The JANUS line of category 4 light curtains allows the setting of each function to be easily performed via the main connector so there is no need for configuration software. JANUS also offers Incorporation of the main safety functions, including self-testing of the solid-state outputs, external device monitoring (EDM) and Start/Restart interlock functions. The JANUS’s rugged design also delivers exceptional reliability in the field, thanks to its robust construction and the exceptional level of protection to any external interference (optical, EMC, etc.).
The JANUS family has incorporated a built-in muting function in all its models making them an ideal solution for palletizing applications due to the configuration flexibility of the Muting time-outs. MI series “Long Range” models are available with ranges up to 60 m for hand protection with a resolution of 40 mm or for body detection utilizing 2, 3 or 4 beams. The JANUS carries a protection rating of IP 65 and can operate in temperatures from -10°C to +55°C.
