Norstat now offers a configurable stand-alone safety integrated controller capable of managing the safety functions of a single machine to an entire plant.
The ReeR MZERO is able to produce full configuration capabilities at the cost of a standard safety relay. The MZERO can reduce the number of devices and wiring used thereby speeding up control panel construction while saving time and lowering costs. The MZERO can manage safety sensors and signals such as Light Curtains, E-Stops, Guard-Lock Switches, RFID Switches, Safety Mats and Edges as well as Magnetic Switches, Inductive Sensors and Two-Hand Controls.
The MZERO has 16 inputs, 4 OSSD pairs, 4 inputs for start/re-start interlock, EDM or single input devices and 4 status outputs. It has removable terminal blocks and offers either screw or clamp contacts while maintaining PLe Cat.4, SIL 3 and SIL CL 3. It runs off of 24 VDC, fastens via DIN rail fastening, and has an IP 20 protection rating.
