Norstat now offers a line of Non-Tubular Photo-Electric Sensors that are available in a multitude of versions to fit most any factory automation application.
The EP Series of Photo-Electric sensors from Sense sensors are available in several different models including Photosensor ( Opaque & Transparent objects ), Reflective ( Polarized Filter for shiny objects ) and Barrier ( Transmitter & Receiver ) versions. The EP Series utilizes state of the art technology with both AC or DC models available with relay outputs. The EP series is also available in NAMUR versions for installation in hazardous areas or with two transistor outputs and all versions come standard with mutual interference prevention.
The EP Series is housed in a compact, yet robust polycarbonate casing with a polycarbonate lens. All versions have short circuit and reverse polarity protection, high visibility LED trigger indication as well as potentiometer guided distance and sensitivity adjustments. Connection is either standard cable or cable with an M12 pigtail. The EP series carries a protection rating of IP 66 and can operate in temperatures from -10°C to +60°C.
