The HNS-R inclination sensor is often used in e-charging stations for crash detection. It reliably detects crashes and switches off the current flow to prevent voltage from being applied to the housing. This protects both users and devices from potential hazards and damage.
The HNS-R inclination sensor continuously monitors the alignment of the e-charging pole and detects inclinations in the +/-X and +/-Y axes. If the inclination exceeds a preset angle or the supply voltage of the sensor fails, the HNS-R automatically switches off the power to the charging pole. This function is essential to ensure immediate safety measures in the event of a crash.
The HNS-R is equipped with a relay changeover switching output with a load capacity of up to 2 A. This enables direct integration of the sensor into the safety circuit of the e-charging station, which ensures simple and effective implementation.
To avoid false alarms, the HNS-R offers an adjustable time delay of 0.2 to 5 seconds. This function ensures that the sensor only becomes active in the event of real crashes and does not react to temporary vibrations or slight shocks.
