Norstat now offers MAGNUS RFID Safety Sensors, a contactless safety sensor that can monitor the positions on sliding, hinged or removeable guards.
The MAGNUS RFID series safety sensors from ReeR are ideal for a multitude of applications due to their compact and versatile design. The RFID technology enables the MAGNUS sensor to be individually coded to allow for the proper tamper resistant protection in any application. The highest configuration level only allows the sensor to be paired with one assigned actuator achieving safety levels up to PL e / SIL 3 even when the sensors are connected in series.
The MAGNUS RFID utilizes a PBT/PC housing with either an M12 or open cable connection. MAGNUS switches come with 2 safety outputs, 1 diagnostic output and OSSD contacts. The MAGNUS has a switching distance of 8mm with an 8mm misalignment factor while three color LED’s provide operational status and diagnostic information. These switches have a protection rating of IP 67 and IP 69K making it resistant to aggressive elements, cleaning agents and washdown conditions. And can operate in temperatures from -25 to + 80° C.
