Norstat offers a full line of Safety Switches with separate actuators for guarding machines without inertia.
These Safety Switches are specifically designed to guard gates, sliding doors, or any other dangerous parts of a machine without inertia. They come in either glass reinforced technopolymer, which is shock proof and self-extinguishing or powder coated metal bodies. The actuator heads of these switches can be rotated in 90° increments allowing for 5 different actuating positions and all switches are designed to allow a wide range of actuator travel ( 4.5mm ) thereby permitting slight movement without initiating unwanted machine shutdowns. Stainless steel actuators are also available for these switches.
All switches are available with 9 different contact block configurations and can be ordered with gold plated, silver contacts for superior performance. All switches are rated for a service life of 20 years as well as a mechanical endurance of 1 million operating cycles. Switches are available with open wire connections as well as M12 connectors on some versions. Protection rating for these switches is IP67 allowing them to be used in even the harshest environments.
